About Allison

Allison Entrekin is an award-winning communications professional whose work has appeared in dozens of publications, including USA TODAY, Travel + Leisure and Garden & Gun. She is executive editor of Southbound, Atlanta Magazine's celebrated travel glossy. She also covers the Southeastern United States for Condé Nast Traveler and The Telegraph. She is the author of For the Love of Dogs, an A-Z primer for dog lovers of all ages, and The Goose Who Talked to the Wind. In 2019, her environmental-travel writing for Southbound took home the bronze award at the prestigious Lowell Thomas Awards.

Allison is skilled in leading teams of creatives, overseeing all aspects of content creation, and integrating print and digital mediums for maximum impact. She received her bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of Florida (top-10 program) and her master's degree in journalism from the University of Georgia (top-5 program).
